11/23/2023 0 Comments Valheim sea serpent![]() ![]() I keep my distance to 16 metres, but if I see a large lv fish coming for my bait I will reel it in to 10 metres before it takes the bait. I always eat Blood Pudding, Bread & Eyescream while fishing or hunting serpents, and have had to gulp stamina potion a few times, especially while reeling in lv 4 or 5 Trollfish. PS: Gulping down stamina potion if one gets low on stamina while reeling in either Sea Serpents or fish works to regenerate low stamina. Prior to the Mistlands update, I farmed them over a couple of days obtaining enough to make 3 full stacks of Serpent Stew for my son, nephew and myself. I have never had so much problem farming Sea Serpents. No trophy of course, they are extremely rare in my experience, after over 4000 hours of play I have only ever got 1. I checked out all my map icon locations, and finally after 2 weeks finally chanced upon 1. Now that the Sea Serpent Trophy is required for Heavy fishing bait, I have been trying to get one. Sea Serpents in Valheim are monsters of the open sea that can be defeated and looted. Just go sailing with some buddys, and work together to harpoon a sea serpent and bring it to land. I’m trying to get to The Elder and I can’t NOT find the Sea Serpent. If you do it right you will get scales and meat. I was asking myself the same question Archdeacon Monseigneur. Then you do not have to worry about the materials sinking and can use your melee weapons as the sea serpent can’t do anything on the shore. Stick to the best 3 stamina foods you have access to. Also optional I usually stick 3 sorts of stamina foods in the boats cargo hold, so I can quickly gulp down some stamina food in a hurry if I need to, helps after harpooning the serpent, and keeping it on the rope. i suppose we've just had a weird and extreme stroke of terrible luck, in that case, because i swear i used 3x3 food buffs and had them all time out without seeing a single sea serpent. Yep, we made sure to specifically stick to the Ocean biome, we went out of our way to go for storms and that weird darkness that sometimes overtakes part of the map. How do you spawn a sea serpent in Valheim What is Thors hammer made of How strong is Thor without his belt What is Meginjord Does cheating in Valheim do. Just keep sailing around til you find them, and make sure when you look at your map, it is ''Ocean'' biome, otherwise they won't spawn in shallow water. Sounds like you are looking for them at the right times, but not having any luck. Valheim is now available through Steam Early Access.Originally posted by Happy:No I don't think so, I catch heaps of them whenever I get caught in a storm, sometimes even 2 in a single night if I'm quick with the harpoon but they do spawn a fair bit. This is a very easy way to farm the items needed for the Serpent Scale Shield, which is a very strong shield, equal to some of the end-game ones. Loot its precious scales and meat and enjoy your glorious triumph. Strike it away and it will be dead in a couple of seconds. Now outside of the water, the huge monster is simply a big and harmless snake. After doing so, jump onto the field and the sea Serpent should be dragged across with you. With the Serpent impaled, start sailing towards the closest beach or land in general, while pulling it. After it connects, now is the time for the actual trick. Even if you miss, the harpoon won’t disappear, so don’t be afraid to try multiple times. The moment you spot a Serpent, or it spots you which will be most likely, throw the harpoon at it. In any case, get ready to farm some scales. If you keep the wind to your sides youll outrun the serpent. You want it to come from the side and thats shown in game by the circle being brightest on the sides. Don’t worry, this is completely doable solo, but a little harder to achieve. You can but you need to know that the best point of sailing irl and in valheim is with the wind perpendicular to the direction youre sailing. Have your Abyssal Harpoon ready, and if possible, a friend alongside you. It is highly suggested to sail relatively close to the shore, and you will see in a minute why. Get in your ship, and start sailing away. With all that said, let us go into the sea. In order see how you can make such a great tool, make sure to read our guide right here. It acts like a spear this way, but the harpoon has a rope tied to you while throwing it, so you can pull or drag any stabbed monster. As the name suggests, it is a harpoon that you can throw to enemies and impale them. Speaking of tools, there is one you need in order to trivialize this fight.
